Madeleine creates her Fluid Abstracts by pouring and mixing her paint directly on the canvas, working quickly "wet on wet" to design her abstract. This spontaneity maintains the essence of fluidity. Water and energy are recurring motifs in Madeleine's artwork.
My technique of pouring and mixing paint directly on a canvas is a way of connecting with the essence of fluidity. My work is part artistic vision and part serendipity, a fusion of forethought and randomness. I carefully capture any paint or resin which has overflowed and pooled beneath my boards and canvas and upcycle them into new 3D sculptural paintings.
