Tickertape 5 is painted on TerraSkin, the Canadian made paper made from stone. The painting was mounted on a gallery canvas which was then made to look like a plaster wall.
My technique of pouring and mixing paint directly on a canvas is a way of connecting with the essence of fluidity. My work is part artistic vision and part serendipity, a fusion of forethought and randomness. I carefully capture any paint or resin which has overflowed and pooled beneath my boards and canvas and upcycle them into new 3D sculptural paintings.
