Red Singularity 1 is an art work from my Outtakes Series. I carefully capture the paint drips from my large Fluid Color Abstracts; the larger drips or puddles I form into 3D soft sculptures which I mount and frame.
About Madeleine Arnett
My technique of pouring and mixing paint directly on a canvas is a way of connecting with the essence of fluidity. My work is part artistic vision and part serendipity, a fusion of forethought and randomness. I carefully capture any paint or resin which has overflowed and pooled beneath my boards and canvas and upcycle them into new 3D sculptural paintings.
