Vat Orange Singularity is part painting and part sculpture and part serendipity. I carefully collect the puddles that form from the paint that flows over the edges of my Fluid Color Abstracts. Vat Orange Singularity is a companion piece to Retro Orange.
About Madeleine Arnett
My technique of pouring and mixing paint directly on a canvas is a way of connecting with the essence of fluidity. My work is part artistic vision and part serendipity, a fusion of forethought and randomness. I carefully capture any paint or resin which has overflowed and pooled beneath my boards and canvas and upcycle them into new 3D sculptural paintings.
