"Shell" is a fusion of painting and sculpture made from the paint that drips off the canvas when I paint my fluid abstracts. I carefully gather, the drips and puddles and create new 3D art.
My technique of pouring and mixing paint directly on a canvas is a way of connecting with the essence of fluidity. My work is part artistic vision and part serendipity, a fusion of forethought and randomness. I carefully capture any paint or resin which has overflowed and pooled beneath my boards and canvas and upcycle them into new 3D sculptural paintings.
