Rocas del Rio is a commissioned piece inspired by the chaos of a shallow clear river bed. This large scale painting, full of vibrant color and energy now hangs in a home that has been beautifully renovated and decorated.
My technique of pouring and mixing paint directly on a canvas is a way of connecting with the essence of fluidity. My work is part artistic vision and part serendipity, a fusion of forethought and randomness. I carefully capture any paint or resin which has overflowed and pooled beneath my boards and canvas and upcycle them into new 3D sculptural paintings.
