The rocks of a shallow river bed undergo a metamorphosis in the flowing water, the grayish rocks are saturated in colour and the sunlight shimmering on the water surface leaves patterns of flowing light.
My technique of pouring and mixing paint directly on a canvas is a way of connecting with the essence of fluidity. My work is part artistic vision and part serendipity, a fusion of forethought and randomness. I carefully capture any paint or resin which has overflowed and pooled beneath my boards and canvas and upcycle them into new 3D sculptural paintings.
