"Fervor" is an artwork from my "Singularity Series"; I collect the drips and puddles that form when paint flows over the edges of my "Fluid Color Abstracts". My energetic style of painting wet-on-wet causes the dripping acrylic paint to create its own "elemental form" with fossil-like designs like those found in nature.
My technique of pouring and mixing paint directly on a canvas is a way of connecting with the essence of fluidity. My work is part artistic vision and part serendipity, a fusion of forethought and randomness. I carefully capture any paint or resin which has overflowed and pooled beneath my boards and canvas and upcycle them into new 3D sculptural paintings.
