In "Elemental 2", metallic paints have been added to my usual palette; the iridescent golds, bronze and copper combine to create a dramatic elemental form.
My technique of pouring and mixing paint directly on a canvas is a way of connecting with the essence of fluidity. My work is part artistic vision and part serendipity, a fusion of forethought and randomness. I carefully capture any paint or resin which has overflowed and pooled beneath my boards and canvas and upcycle them into new 3D sculptural paintings.
