I sculpt the paint that drips from my large Fluid Dynamic Abstracts into 3D paintings which I mount on boards or canvases. A Bijou is a small dainty usually ornamental piece of delicate workmanship: small but elegant.
My technique of pouring and mixing paint directly on a canvas is a way of connecting with the essence of fluidity. My work is part artistic vision and part serendipity, a fusion of forethought and randomness. I carefully capture any paint or resin which has overflowed and pooled beneath my boards and canvas and upcycle them into new 3D sculptural paintings.
