The energetic paint strokes depict Nature's stormy energy. I pictured an Inukshuk to guide travellers in their journey. I created some "rocks" from acrylic medium to build my 3D Inukshuk.
My technique of pouring and mixing paint directly on a canvas is a way of connecting with the essence of fluidity. My work is part artistic vision and part serendipity, a fusion of forethought and randomness. I carefully capture any paint or resin which has overflowed and pooled beneath my boards and canvas and upcycle them into new 3D sculptural paintings.
