"A Grey Area" is one of my Singularities, my 3D art form that is a fusion of painting and sculpture. I collect the drips and puddles that are formed when paint overflows while I'm working on a fluid abstract painting. Reduce. Recycle. Reuse.
My technique of pouring and mixing paint directly on a canvas is a way of connecting with the essence of fluidity. My work is part artistic vision and part serendipity, a fusion of forethought and randomness. I carefully capture any paint or resin which has overflowed and pooled beneath my boards and canvas and upcycle them into new 3D sculptural paintings.
