Orange Bijou is a piece from my Singularity Series; I collect the drips and puddles that flow from my Fluid Color Abstracts. the sculpted paint is mounted on birch board and framed.
My technique of pouring and mixing paint directly on a canvas is a way of connecting with the essence of fluidity. My work is part artistic vision and part serendipity, a fusion of forethought and randomness. I carefully capture any paint or resin which has overflowed and pooled beneath my boards and canvas and upcycle them into new 3D sculptural paintings.
