I created "Aqua" for a show called Guilded: A River Runs Through. The water of rivers and ponds has always been my muse, even now when I paint my "Fluid Dynamic Abstracts".
My technique of pouring and mixing paint directly on a canvas is a way of connecting with the essence of fluidity. My work is part artistic vision and part serendipity, a fusion of forethought and randomness. I carefully capture any paint or resin which has overflowed and pooled beneath my boards and canvas and upcycle them into new 3D sculptural paintings.
